Shaykh Ṣadūq narrated four traditions from Aswārī in his book al-Khiṣāl on the subject of ethical issues. One of these four narrations is the hadith, "Indeed, the Best of Good Is Good Character." Because this narration is also mentioned in Sunni sources, it was chosen from among the traditions narrated by him for Isnād-Matn (chain of transmission and text) analysis in this research. Therefore, due to the importance of critically examining the documentary and textual aspects of this narration in Sunni and Shi'a sources, especially concerning the timeline of its narrators, the present study was conducted. For this purpose, using the Isnād-Matn analysis method for examining hadiths, as well as a descriptive-analytical approach, the original meaning of the narration's text was determined after reporting the various opinions and views among hadith scholars in explaining this hadith. The results of examining this narration with the Isnād-Matn analysis method include achieving a degree of correlation for this hadith in various Sunni and Shi'a sources. For instance, the analysis of this narration revealed that the main clause of this sequentially transmitted hadith is narrated identically in both Shi'a and Sunni chains of transmission without any alteration. In both Shi'a and Sunni sources, Ḥasan ibn Ali (AS) is present as the main common link, and the other narrator in the generation of the followers of successors is Ḥasan ibn Abi al-Ḥasan
