The Educational Functions of Gratitude from the Perspective of the Quran and Sahifah Sajjadiyyah

Abstract

“Gratitude” is one of the fruitful Quranic and hadith concepts, educational goals and spiritual attributes, and the spirit of gratitude is one of the most obvious characteristics of humans in the path of self-improvement and reaching perfection. According to the Holy Quran, Almighty God is grateful and thanks His servants who follow the path of His obedience. In this divine book, the importance of gratitude and its functions are discussed, which is a good example for human beings to use. On the other hand, in the words of Ahl al-Bayt also about this word and its functions, much attention has been given and emphasized. Imam Sajjad in numerous prayers, he addressed the topics related to gratitude and its functions, which is considered a practical example and concrete instance. Because the educational functions of sugar in the prayers of Imam Sajjad can explain, interpret and elaborate the model presented in the Quran. It is necessary to examine this moral and spiritual statement from the perspective of the divine book and Sahifah Sajjadiyyah. Therefore, the current article has discussed the views of the Quran and the book of Sahifah Sajjadiyah about the educational functions of gratitude and has presented its discussions in a descriptive-analytical method. Some of the findings of the present research are: reaching the position of satisfaction, preventing torments and calamities, deserving the afterlife reward, achieving salvation, etc.
