Abstract

Abstract
Corrective education is generally intended for those learners who, for various reasons, have not benefited from proper upbringing, and in order to reform them and transform their undesirable traits and behaviors in social, devotional, doctrinal, and political spheres, the educator undertakes certain activities. Educational methods in the realm of correcting the learner can be examined in three dimensions: cognitive, emotional, and behavioral.
This study, through an explanatory examination of hadiths and the conduct of the Prophet Muhammad and the Ahl al‑Bayt (peace be upon them) in Imami hadith sources, investigates the emotional educational methods that are effective in reform. What is meant by these methods are those approaches the educator employs to influence the learner’s emotions for the purpose of improving their thoughts, morals, and behavior. These methods include: affection and love, admonition, encouragement and motivation, creating fear and hope, drawing attention to divine blessings, accepting excuses, drawing attention to spiritual deterrents from sin, evoking emotions and feelings, drawing attention to worldly and otherworldly consequences, and honoring the learner’s dignity. These emotional methods can play an effective role in correcting the upbringing and behavior of the learner.
