An Examination of the Discrediting of **Abu al‑Mufaddal al‑Shaybani** in the Distortion and Fabrication of Chains of Transmission.

Abstract

Abul-Mufaddal Shaibani (D.387h) is one of the prolific narrators who has numerous accounts of Islamic hadith and kalam sources and some scholars have praised him as a "hafez". However, he has sometimes had tampered with narratives, and a number of early Rejalis have weakened him, such as a large crowd of Najashi elders and some of the 4th and 5th century sunni scholars such as Darqotni and some of Shaibani's disciples. Meanwhile, some of Imamiyah such as Ibn Ghaza'eri have accused him of documenting. But some of scholars of recent centuries have accused previous Rilalis of extremism or being influenced by Sunni's theological views. So the main point of the article is to find ways to judge these differences. The study's finding 1s that the critics of recent scholars at the ancestors' weakenings are unacceptable, and some Falsification of Shaibani can be uncovered by historical methods such as class revisions and comparative studies of sources. also, like some of the hadith groups they ar rival of the Imamiyyah, he has occasionally presented fabricated documents in support of religion.
