One of the main characteristics of prophets is their infallibility, which is accepted by all Muslims. The infallibility that is necessary for their prophethood and the theologians and commentators proved it with rational and narrative reasons. However, sometimes some hadiths convey a contemptuous view of the prophets and are inconsistent with their infallibility. The hadith "Thubi or Hajar" is among such hadiths that can be seen in Sunni sources. According to this hadith, Prophet Moses (pbuh) put his clothes on a stone while washing his body. Sang ran away and took the clothes with him. Hazrat Musa (pbuh) also went naked looking for stones and the Israelites saw him in this state. Considering the fact that the prophets were infallible and did not do anything against their customs and dignity, it is necessary to know the validity and identity of this hadith. The present study is written in an analytical-descriptive method, to date the hadith "Thubi Ya Hajar" based on the combined analysis of documents and text. The results of this review and dating show that Abu Hurairah - the main common link - created the text of the hadith and passed it on to the next generations. The findings of this research show that Sunni scholars have also accepted and defended the hadith by relying on various hadith documents and repeating it in the main sources. This hadith under verse 69 of Surah Ahzab has been repeated many times in Sunni sources.
