Many narrations about the proof and existence of twelve imams after the beloved Prophet of Islam have been reported in authentic Shia and Sunni books. These hadiths are known as “Ithna Ashar” hadiths, which have been reported with limitations such as “Ithna Ashara Imaman”, “Ithna Ashara Khalifatan”, “Ithna Ashara Amiran” and... and attributes such as “from my Ahl al-Bayt”, “All of them belong to Quraysh”, “All of them belong to Bani Hashim” and... On the other hand, today, a new movement called the Yamani movement, led by a person named Ahmad Ismail Basri, known as Ahmad al-Hassan, claims that according to the hadith of the wasiyyat of the Prophet narrated after the Prophet, twenty-four imams and successors will come, and after the twelfth imam, twelve other imams (with the description of Mahdi) will come, and Ahmad Basri is the thirteenth imam. The current article proves the inauthenticity of the claim by examining the hadith of “Will” in terms of its evidence and implications and comparing the traditions of the twelfth century with it; The method of the article is descriptive-analytical.
