The following article is a reflection on the scientific references in Duʿā ʿArafah, and aims to show that there are numerous passages in this supplication that contain untapped treasures of knowledge that are marvelous and wonderful. In terms of the location, time and audience, Imam Husayn (P.B.H.U), selected the most appropriate place and the most sacred time to invoke the intrinsic nature of the people and the of all ages, with eloquence and articulateness, calling them towards the sublime and lofty teachings [of Islam]. In terms of content, imam Husayn (P.B.U.H) by mixing 0f branches on various matters specially monotheism pertaining to the spiritual needs of the people putting forth a mixture of life-infusing lessons and, with subtle references, he brings the minds of the seekers to the hidden and revealing secrets of creation. In this paper, three scientific theories namely: of the age of seminal fluid, the originality of creation in contrast to the theory of evolution, and the theory of the effect of the earth on the formation of superior genes, have been derived from the view of this well-known supplication of ʿArafah.
