Although the hadith has been subjected to damage such as fabrication and forgery throughout the history of Islam, many books have been written to explain the forgery of the hadith. "الوضع فی الحدیث وجهودالعلماء فی مواجتهه" by Abu Abdullah Muhammad bin Saeed Raslan is one of these books.
In this article, the method of research is descriptive-analytical, I am trying to criticize and evaluate of Raslan in explaining the forgery of hadith.
Since the triple pillars of criticism consist of: presentation of the ideal situation, report of the author's performance and presentation of the author's performance on the ideal situation, first by relying on personal thinking and critical review of the existing works, the ideal situation was achieved in this explanation. Then we presented Raslan's comments on the explanation model and extracted his strengths and weaknesses.
The positive points of his performance are: a- referring to all stages of forgery and b- collecting the complete opinions of hadith scholars in the field of forgery.
The negative points of his performance are: A-Limited examples of the definition of fake hadith, B-Determining the time of falsification of hadith late due to the belief in the justice of the Companions, C-Trying to limit the motivations to the maximum, T-Providing external criticism and textual evidence, D - A passing reference to the contradiction of the text with the Qur'an, without providing an example.
